Play

Play therapy is based upon the foundation that play is the child’s natural way of expressing their feelings. Through various types of play, children can safely learn to understand their feelings and conflicts. With the help of a therapist, they are given an opportunity to confront these feelings and gain increased self-control, confidence and social skills.

Animal Assisted Therapy

Animal assisted therapy is a goal-directed treatment process in which animals are used to enhance an individual’s physical, emotional and social well-being, which improves self-esteem, reduces anxiety and facilitates healing. Therapy animals provide a nonjudgmental space making it easier for clients to express their feelings. This social interaction can increase school behavior by increasing confidence and attention skills in children and adolescents.
